A Few Words About This Space
Journey Inward is rooted in the understanding that the work of becoming whole is not a climb upward, but a gentle turning inward.
Again and again, I’ve found that clarity, trust, and healing emerge not through effort or achievement, but through attention, honesty, and listening.
This is a space for reflection rather than answers. It’s for those who sense there is more to be heard beneath the noise of expectations, roles, and old ways of belonging. Here, the invitation is simple: to move at a human pace, to tend what’s real, and to listen for what is true within.
Journey Inward is held primarily as a writing practice. Each week, I share a single essay on Substack, offered as a space for reflection and inward listening.
The writing isn’t meant to be kept up with or consumed quickly. You’re welcome to read quietly, linger with what resonates, or return when something in you is ready.
If you feel drawn, you can find the reflections there.
Where the Writing Lives
A Little About Me
Hello, I’m Brooke 👋
My writing grew out of my own experience of spiritual disorientation, the slow realization that the life I was living no longer reflected what felt true within me. I was raised in a faith tradition that gave me structure, but also taught me to quiet parts of myself in order to belong.
Over time, the cost of that disconnection became too great. What followed was not a rejection of spirituality, but a return, marked by listening, honesty, and a willingness to let old stories loosen their hold. Much of what I write comes from that ongoing work of remembering and making space for what is real.
I hold this space with care for those who are navigating similar terrain, tending wounds of faith, relationship, and self, and learning to trust what they sense within. I don’t offer answers here, only reflections shaped by lived experience and a deep respect for the inward path.
Where to Find My Work
Most of my writing lives on Substack, where I share poetry, reflections, and longer essays exploring the inward journey. That’s where this work is held most intentionally.
I also share pieces and reflections in a few other spaces, each with its own rhythm:
LinkedIn, for shorter reflections on inner work, leadership, and lived experience
Instagram, where I share excerpts, notes, and moments from the writing
YouTube, for spoken reflections and longer-form conversations
Tiny Buddha, where some of my published essays can be found
You’re welcome to meet me in whichever space feels most natural to you.
Walking Together
For some, the journey inward eventually asks for companionship.
Alongside my writing, I offer one-on-one coaching for those navigating spiritual trauma, life transitions, or a growing sense that the old ways of understanding themselves or their faith no longer fit.
This work is not about fixing, striving, or becoming someone new. It’s about creating a steady, honest space where what is true can be named, tended, and slowly integrated.
